blueskies environmental associates, inc. is a small 100% woman-owned environmental consulting firm headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. Formed in the summer of 2002, the staff at blueskies has over twenty years experience in the environmental consulting and aviation environmental arena, and stands ready to assist their clients and prime contractors with regulatory compliance, natural resource planning and environmental impact analysis. blueskies was formed with the main objective of providing specialized environmental services for their clients and has experience in both the private and public sector. We offer unique and innovative solutions to our aviation sector clients.  Our staff has hands-on experience at airports throughout the nation as well as coordination experience with airlines, fixed base operators and concessionaires. Additionally, we have assisted private developers and government agencies with environmental compliance and regulatory support. We have regulatory experience with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and numerous state and local governments. We are active in trade associations and pride ourselves on tracking regulations and introducing new solutions to environmental challenges.

blueskies has experience assisting clients with compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), completing assessments and reports in a timely manner to facilitate capital improvement programs. Our staff has experience with categorical exclusion checklists, environmental assessments and environmental impact reports and has assisted with environmental impact statements and records of decision. blueskies also has practical field experience with wetland delineation and confirmation, functional assessments, wildlife assessments and management plans, stormwater permitting, risk assessments and environmental master planning. blueskies professionals also have experience with issues specific to aviation, including deicing planning and collection, hazard management and bird strike assessment.
